The aim for this scheme is to regenerate the existing site of 28, The Parade and to provide an educational facility that allows young individuals to develop their skills within music and performing arts. It will transform into a creative, flexible and multi-functional venture that improves the activity and circulation throughout the site.  It will also focus on the striking characteristics that remain in good condition within the listed building and create a connection between old and new applications.   The target market for this scheme will be aimed at children and young teens aged between 6-16. Opportunities for older individuals will also be available, providing a selection of acoustic studios and workshops that can be operated throughout the day. Furthermore, the venture will also accommodate an external performance space that can be utilised for events and provides a new route of access that’s disabled user friendly.

The journey through the site is an important aspect that has contributed to the design decisions made. Creating a more user friendly circulation through the site, optimises how each building is utilised and allows users to explore the different facilities available. A link between the new and old features are purposefully made apparent so avoid distraction for the striking characteristics found apart of the listed structure.
