The Cardiff Brewery
The Brains Brewery tower has been a Cardiff landmark for over 100 years with the first brewery appearing on the site in 1889. The brewhouse will be the only original building to remain on the new Central Quay development which will create a new business and retail district built around the main city centre transport hub. There will be a small element of residential property at the development in the form of riverside apartments.

I wanted to create a green oasis in what was an industrial site and will be a built-up business area and so incorporated a community garden over 3 floors into the brewery, bar and restaurant space.

A long feature walkway over the garden room gives a peaceful place to sit away from the main bar seating area. A viewing window into the brewery below is situated in the bar itself.
